As Mad Men enters the 70's era, the jig is up -- so to speak. The hard shells are cracking for the group of ad men that have left a trail of broken hearts, broken homes and broken promises over the past seven season's fictional decade. Their flaws are even more apparent, as the armor of 1960's cool -- slim fitting suits, skinny ties and close haircuts have left them for laughable plaid sports coats, bright polyester polos and ridiculous mustaches. John Hamm's Don Draper is as faithful as ever to his many vices, as he continues his chain smoking debauchery, and fully functioning alcoholic ways without regret, aided by his silver-haired counterpart Roger Sterling, (John Slattery) who's mustache shall remain nameless. As for Roger, sadly, he is not as tactful in his justification of his excess, he apparently lacks the extraordinary almost super-inhuman ability, affectionately labeled as "Drapering".
2 Timothy 3:2-7Modern English Version (MEV)
2 Men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 without natural affection, trucebreakers, slanderers, unrestrained, fierce, despisers of those who are good, 4 traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness, but denying its power. Turn away from such people.
6 Those of this nature creep into houses and captivate silly women who are burdened with sins and led away with various desires, 7 always learning, but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Season 7's Episode 8 "Severance" picks up...COMING SOON
